    Night Out: Nyege Nyege

Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September, NIGHT OUT arrives at Centro Pecci: a two-evening programme curated by Paolo Gabriotti, dedicated to performance, sound experimentation and club music, celebrating the opening of the new Centro Pecci Arena.

On Saturday 12 September, NIGHT OUT explores the club as a shared space and collective body. Nyege Nyege comes to Centro Pecci with the hypnotic live performance of PÖ and the high-energy live set of Azzi On The Beat. Opening the evening are the fractured rhythms of the MORE AMORE collective and the immersive soundscapes of Xaxer.

    Artists

MORE AMORE is a Bologna-based collective formed by DJs Aurora, Romina Thomas and Olivia. Their sound moves between broken rhythms and electronic music, blending breakbeat, UK bass, Latin percussion and contemporary club music. For MORE AMORE, the dancefloor is first and foremost a shared space where music becomes connection, contact, pleasure and collective desire.

Xaxer, a DJ from the Ecuadorian Andes, blends experimental club music and bass music infused with vivid percussion and shadowy distortions. His sets are visceral and immersive, combining dripping dembow, hypnotic cumbia and warm, enveloping dub.

Nyege Nyege is a festival, recording studio, two record labels and a global network of collaborations. It has become one of the most influential platforms in contemporary music, championing and amplifying cutting-edge African music and artists from across the continent and its diasporas.

PÖ is a French-Ghanaian producer, DJ and performer. Her live performances are dark, hypnotic and intensely physical. Through electronics and vocal manipulation, she moves across noise rap, industrial rhythms, West African folk traditions, ambient and post-punk. Dancing, contorting and throwing herself into the audience, PÖ creates a visceral connection that electrifies the space.

Azzi On The Beat is a Nigerian multidisciplinary artist and music producer. Drawing on a deep knowledge of traditional African dance, his practice is rooted in the aesthetics and movement culture of the Yoruba tradition. His live sets combine frenetic rhythms and layered melodic textures, transforming the dancefloor into a collective body.
