On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the Expressive Activities Workshop of Centro Pecci opens its doors for a special event.
An expressive workshop designed to explore pictorial language as trace, memory, and stratification. Through immersive painting, participants will be invited to experiment with the use of signs and expressive gestures, using horizontal forms that, like strips, narrate the passage of time. Each participant will develop a map of their own experience, similar to an archaeological site, aimed at rediscovering the value of the sign as a primary and authentic expression of the self and its influence on being in the world. The workshop is open to all, adults and children.
The workshop is free of charge, booking is required.
This activity is part of the Expressive Activities Workshop organized by Centro Pecci in collaboration with the Adult Mental Health Service of Azienda USL – Toscana Centro. The Workshop has been active since 1993 and is dedicated to broadening the possibilities of expression and communication beyond traditional psychiatric settings, fostering social inclusion.
The Workshop’s activities are coordinated by the Education Department of Centro Pecci together with the Mental Health Service, and are conducted by art therapists in collaboration with the cooperative EDA Servizi.
