On Saturday, November 1, 2025, to mark World Vegan Day, the WWF Oases Committee of the Florence Area and the Centro per l’arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato present the first Tuscan meeting on “Animal Liberation and Contemporary Art”, hosted at the WWF Oasi Stagni di Focognano. The event will feature a dialogue between Carlo Scoccianti (biologist and artist, creator of Artlands) and Stefano Pezzato (Head of Collections and Archives at Centro Pecci), and will conclude with the inauguration of the new artwork Birdwatching? — a reflection on art, environment, and respect for animal life.
World Vegan Day 2025 offers an opportunity to reflect on the dialogue between contemporary art and ecological awareness through the first Tuscan meeting on Animal Liberation and Contemporary Art, promoted by the WWF Oases Committee of the Florence Area in collaboration with the Centro per l’arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato.
