On Saturday, October 11, 2025, Centro Pecci opens the Lara-Vinca Masini library and archive for a special visit exploring stories between past and future.
As part of the 4th edition of Carte in Dimora 2025 – Archives and Libraries: stories between past and future, the CID/Arti Visive Documentation and Information Center in Prato offers a unique visit to the archive floor, poster collection, artist books, library, and the Lara-Vinca Masini archive.
Founded in the 1980s by the Municipality of Prato and linked to the Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci since 1989, CID/Arti Visive integrates the museum’s exhibition, educational, and promotional activities with publications, periodicals, posters, and archival materials including photographs, videos, printed documents, and correspondence.
Lara-Vinca Masini (Florence, 1923 – 2021), nationally renowned art historian and critic, curated numerous exhibitions and publications in contemporary visual arts, architecture, design, and applied arts. Her extensive archive and library, donated to Centro Pecci, represents a valuable resource for research and the preservation of contemporary art history.
Opening hours: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
This visit is made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci, CID/Arti Visive, and the valuable Lara-Vinca Masini archive.
