Shu-fen, a single mother of two daughters, returns to Taipei after years of living away from the city to open a soba noodle stand in the night market. As the three try to adapt to the frenetic pace of the city and make ends meet, old family secrets resurface, particularly when her grandfather forbids his left-handed granddaughter from using her "devil hand."
