New physical education teacher Sergio Rossetti arrives in Remis, a small village nestled in a secluded valley in the mountains. There, he finds its inhabitants unusually happy. Through an encounter with Michela, who works at the village inn, the teacher discovers that behind this apparent serenity lies a disturbing ritual: one night a week, the villagers gather to embrace Matteo Corbin, a teenager capable of absorbing the pain of others. Sergio's attempt to save the young man will awaken the darker side of the man everyone calls the angel of Remis.
After "A Classic Horror Story" and "Piove," Paolo Strippoli, a young director born in 1993, continues his journey into genre cinema with a film for which he wrote the story and screenplay, demonstrating his remarkable ability to manipulate the genre's rules. This film, above all, serves as a pretext for an intense story of fathers and sons and personal growth.
