Ad aprile torna Pezzi Unici, la rassegna di cinema queer del Centro Pecci Cinema, realizzata in collaborazione con Arcigay Prato Pistoia L’Asterisco.
In April, Pezzi Unici returns — the queer film series of Centro Pecci Cinema, organized in collaboration with Arcigay Prato Pistoia L’Asterisco.
A journey through contemporary cinema as a space of freedom, where difference is not a theme but a language, a form, a possibility. Four films, four radical and unconventional perspectives, exploring identities, desires, and transformations beyond predefined models.
The series opens on April 9 with a national preview, En el Camino by David Pablos, one of the most acclaimed films at the 2025 Venice Film Festival: a queer road story set along the highways of Mexico, bold in both vision and narrative form.
On April 16, Sorry Baby, the debut feature by Eva Victor, takes the spotlight — one of the most powerful films of the season, offering a lucid and delicate exploration of the aftermath of trauma, following the inner journey of a young university professor.
On April 23, Rotting in the Sun by Sebastián Silva, one of the most eccentric voices in contemporary cinema, presents a distorted and ironic version of himself in a provocative and unpredictable queer meta-comedy.
The series closes on April 30 with Crossing Istanbul by Levan Akin: a journey between Georgia and Turkey in search of a transgender niece, a story of crossings and relationships that intertwines identity, memory, and the possibility of recognition.
Four screenings, every Thursday in April at 9:00 PM, in original language with Italian subtitles.
