“I Wish You Could See Me,” the artistic project that will be hosted in the Project Room of the Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci from 25 November 2025, was presented to the press today at the City of Prato. The initiative is promoted by the La Nara Anti-Violence Center with the support of Autolinee Toscane, under the patronage and with the contribution of the City of Prato. The Centro Pecci is proud to act as the exhibition partner and an active promoter of awareness around the issue of violence against women.
The press conference featured contributions from representatives of the City of Prato, La Nara Anti-Violence Center, Autolinee Toscane, and the Director of Centro Pecci, Stefano Collicelli Cagol, who emphasized the museum’s commitment to making visible—through art—what is too often silenced: “Centro Pecci stands alongside the organizations working in the region to combat violence against women. Art can and must help to build collective awareness and shared responsibility.”
A project that restores voice and presence
I Wish You Could See Me is an installation composed of photographs by Arianna Senesi and texts by Anna Bardazzi, dedicated to the victims of femicide in Tuscany from 2014 to 2025. It offers an intimate and powerful narrative that restores memory and dignity to the women whose lives were taken, bringing to light what violence attempts to erase: their presence.
The installation will be open to the public at Centro Pecci from 25 November 2025 to 11 January 2026, with free admission during the museum’s opening hours.
A project that travels through the city
Thanks to the collaboration with Autolinee Toscane, the project will also be itinerant: a selection of images and texts will be displayed on buses dedicated to the campaign against gender-based violence. Every day, the artworks will travel with passengers, transforming public transport into a space of attention, reflection, and awareness.
Today’s presentation marks the official launch of a shared initiative that brings together cultural institutions, local services, and public companies, joining forces to counter every form of violence against women.
